CorOxiPor Objective

OBJECTIVE

The project scope is to develop the knowledge in the obtaining of new nanostructured MnTa2O6 / A3B porphyrins asymmetrically substituted with COOH groups by using alternative processes for the thin films deposition (PLD and drop casting) for achieving simple and sandwich types film configurations (steel / porphyrin / MnTa2O6 or steel / MnTa2O6 / porphyrin) with the purpose to improve anticorrosive properties through the synergistic effect of porphyrins and mixed oxides, increasing the adhesion and the uniformity of the films. The project promotes both industrial oriented and applicative research, together with technological development (PLD) in realization of qualitative adherent corrosion protection layers

The project belongs to the sustainable chemistry by proposing biomimetic porphyrin structures, due to the chosen green chemistry techniques for materials synthesis and the application for corrosion inhibition of steel.
